  • 0.75 cup Almond butter or cashew butter smooth
  • 0.5 cup Pure maple syrup
  • 1.5 teaspoons Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 teaspoons Ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cardamom freshly crushed
  • 0.25 teaspoon Nutmeg freshly grated
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground allspice
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 0.33 cup Hemp seeds
  • 0.5 cup Chopped dates

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line your baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Mix ground flaxseed with 5 tablespoons water and let sit for 5 minutes to thicken into a flax egg.
  • In a large bowl, mix oats, shredded coconut, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, and spices.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and the flax egg until smooth.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • Fold in the hemp seeds, dates, and pistachios until evenly distributed.
  • Spread the mixture into the baking dish, press down firmly, and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  • Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars or squares.

Notes

For best results, use smooth, drippy nut butter. Store cooled bars in airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
