Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined. Set aside.
In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, using a rubber spatula or whisk.
Add the egg, vanilla extract, and Baileys Irish Cream to the butter mixture. Mix until well combined.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will continue to cook on the baking sheet.
Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
