In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a clean mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha sauce, and lime juice until smooth.
In the skillet used for the shrimp, add the drained pasta and the sauce. Toss together with tongs to coat the pasta in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
Gently fold the cooked shrimp into the pasta mixture until evenly distributed.
Plate the Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta and garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro, if using.
