Equipment

  • 1 large pot
  • 1 colander
  • 1 skillet
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 set measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 ladle or spoon
  • 4 serving bowls

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef (85% lean)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, approximately 5-7 minutes, breaking up the meat as it cooks.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Add the cooked rotini to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Serve immediately in bowls and enjoy your Beef and Rotini in Garlic Parmesan Sauce!

Notes
