Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef to the pan in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and no longer pink. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the bell pepper, broccoli, and snap peas. Stir-fry the vegetables for 3-5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
  • Return the cooked beef to the pan with the vegetables. Stir everything together and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 1-2 more minutes to heat through.
  • Serve the beef stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Feel free to substitute the vegetables based on your preferences or what you have on hand. Carrots, mushrooms, and zucchini work well too.
For a spicier kick, add some chili flakes or sliced fresh chili to the stir-fry.
This recipe can easily be doubled for larger gatherings. Just make sure not to overcrowd the pan while cooking the beef for the best results.
