This quick Biscuit French Toast recipe uses day-old biscuits, cooked in a skillet with a vanilla-cinnamon custard. Fast, tender, and packed with sweet breakfast flavor.
Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a medium bowl until smooth.
Split biscuits in half or cut into thick slices so they soak but hold their shape.
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a bit of butter to coat.
Dip each biscuit piece into the egg mixture, coating both sides, but don’t soak too long.
Place coated biscuits onto hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
Repeat with remaining biscuits, adding more butter to skillet as needed.
Serve warm with syrup, powdered sugar, or favorite toppings.
Notes
Make your egg mixture ahead and chill it to save time. Slightly stale biscuits hold their shape better. Reheat leftovers in a skillet for best results.
