  • 2 and ¾ cups All-purpose flour leveled
  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar plus extra for sprinkle
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest fresh, for bright zing
  • ¾ cup Whole milk warmed
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter melted with milk
  • 2 and ¼ teaspoons Instant yeast such as Platinum yeast packet
  • 1 Egg large, room temperature
  • 1 and ¼ cups Fresh blueberries do not use frozen
  • 6 tablespoons Granulated sugar for filling
  • 4 oz Cream cheese softened, for icing
  • 1 tablespoon Butter softened, for icing
  • ¾ cup Confectioners’ sugar for icing
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice for icing

Instructions

  • Whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and lemon zest in a large bowl. Set aside.
  • Heat milk and butter until melted and warm (about 110°F). Stir in yeast and wait 5 minutes for bubbles to form.
  • Pour milk mixture into dry ingredients. Add the egg and mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead dough on floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 60–90 minutes until doubled.
  • Roll dough into 12x18 inch rectangle. Spread blueberries and sprinkle with sugar evenly.
  • Roll up the dough tightly starting from long side. Slice into 12 even rolls.
  • Place rolls into greased 9x13 dish, cover, and let rise for 30–45 minutes.
  • Set rolls in pressure cooker and cook on high for 25 minutes. Allow slow release.
  • For icing: beat cream cheese, butter, confectioners’ sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
  • Spread icing over warm rolls before serving.
  • Serve and enjoy while fresh and warm!

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight container up to 2 days on counter. Rewarm gently with damp towel in microwave to restore softness. Can be frozen up to 1 month for later.
