Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 aluminum foil (optional)
  • 1 set measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese About 4 oz or 115 g.
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise Optional.
  • ¼ cup ketchup Optional.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard Optional.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or cooking spray.

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Break it up with a spatula, and cook until it’s browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet and season the beef with salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well and remove from heat.
  • Lay one flour tortilla flat on a cutting board. Spread a spoonful of mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in the center.
  • Add a portion of the cooked ground beef to the tortilla, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese, a handful of shredded lettuce, and a few diced tomatoes.
  • To fold the wrap, start by folding the bottom of the tortilla up over the filling, then fold in the sides, and finally roll it up tightly from the bottom. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.
  • In the same skillet, spray with cooking spray or add vegetable oil. Heat over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the skillet, and let them cool for a minute before cutting in half. Serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the fillings with additional toppings like pickles or onions according to personal preference.
For extra crunch, consider adding tortilla chips inside the wrap before closing it.
This recipe is easily adjustable; feel free to use ground turkey or a plant-based alternative for a healthier option.
