Cook the rotini pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
Add the cooked rotini pasta to the skillet, stirring to combine all ingredients. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cover the skillet for a couple of minutes until the cheese is melted.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley or pickles, if desired. Serve immediately.
You can customize this recipe by adding your favorite burger toppings, such as diced pickles or bacon bits.
