Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 meat thermometer
  • 1 chef's knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 plate for resting chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Prepare the chicken breasts by trimming any excess fat and pounding them to an even thickness if needed (about 1 inch thick).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil and spices to create a spice mixture.
  • Coat each chicken breast evenly with the spice mixture, ensuring all sides are covered.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Cook the chicken in the air fryer at 380°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, flip the chicken breasts over and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Carefully remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer and let them rest on a plate for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve the chicken with your favorite sides, like roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
You can marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight in the seasoning mix for enhanced flavor.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results, about 3-5 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
