Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
In a mixing bowl, gently shape the ground beef into 4 equal patties, about ½ inch thick. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a small saucepan, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, and garlic powder. Mix well to create the sauce and set aside.
Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Place the burger patties on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip the burgers.
After flipping, place a slice of cheese on each patty and continue cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes, until golden.
Assemble the burgers by spreading sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place the burger patty on top, followed by 2 slices of crispy bacon.
Add optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, and pickles, and cover with the top bun.
Serve hot with your favorite sides.
