Instructions

  • Cook chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. Keep 2–3 tablespoon of the bacon grease in the skillet.
  • Add butter to the skillet and melt it into the bacon grease.
  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until sugar dissolves and sauce thickens slightly.
  • Add drained green beans and stir to coat in the sauce. Simmer on low for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Sprinkle cooked bacon on top before serving.
  • For pressure cooker: combine green beans and sauce in pressure cooker, seal, cook on high pressure for 5 minutes, then natural release for 10 minutes before quick-releasing remaining steam.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for later. Reheat gently with a splash of water or soy sauce to keep things saucy. Switch out bacon for olive oil and use smoked paprika if going meat-free.
