Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine apples, cranberries, sugar, cinnamon, flour, and lemon juice until evenly coated.
Roll out puff pastry on floured surface to slightly thin it.
Spoon filling down center third of pastry evenly.
Cut outer thirds diagonally and fold strips over the filling in a braid.
Brush the top with beaten egg.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and puffed.
Let kringle cool slightly before glazing.
Mix powdered sugar with milk or cream, then drizzle over the kringle and serve.
Notes
Keep pastry cold until ready. Chop apples ahead & store with lemon juice to save prep time. Glaze after cooling for best texture and appearance.
