Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Adjust based on spice tolerance.
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining. Set aside.
  • In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the frying pan and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir continuously for about 2 minutes until it starts to thicken.
  • Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
  • Return the shrimp to the pan and combine with the Alfredo sauce. Finally, toss the cooked fettuccine in the sauce until well coated.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on your spice tolerance.
This dish pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread.
You can make it a complete meal by adding vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
