Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Plate for resting chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 lbs.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs Oregano, basil, thyme.
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions

  • Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Once hot, add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has a golden color. Remove the chicken and place it on a plate to rest.
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add in the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine. Add the dried Italian herbs and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating them in the creamy garlic sauce. Let them simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to soak up the flavors.
  • Serve the chicken garnished with chopped parsley and a generous spoonful of the creamy sauce on top.

Notes

This dish pairs beautifully with spaghetti, mashed potatoes, or a side of steamed vegetables.
