Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
Once hot, add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has a golden color. Remove the chicken and place it on a plate to rest.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add in the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine. Add the dried Italian herbs and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating them in the creamy garlic sauce. Let them simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to soak up the flavors.
Serve the chicken garnished with chopped parsley and a generous spoonful of the creamy sauce on top.
