  • 1 colander
  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 wooden spoon or spatula
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 grater for cheese

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta Can substitute with any pasta of your choice.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste N/A salt
  • to taste N/A black pepper
  • N/A N/A fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss until the pasta is completely coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the pasta to absorb some of the sauce.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
