Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 pounds.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste pieces fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

  • Begin by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken to the skillet.
  • Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until it is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and dried basil. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the creamy sauce. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top and allow it to melt into the sauce.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
