Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the Crock Pot.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth. Mix well to combine.
Pour the ranch mixture over the chicken in the Crock Pot.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
After the cooking time is up, add the softened cream cheese to the Crock Pot. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and incorporated into the sauce.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover the pot for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Once done, taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
