Equipment

  • 1 Crock-Pot (slow cooker)
  • 1 Measuring spoons
  • 1 Measuring cup
  • 1 Tongs or spatula
  • 1 Serving plate

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix 1 oz
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix 1 oz
  • ½ cup unsalted butter 1 stick
  • 6-8 pieces pepperoncini peppers whole, with juice
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  • Start by seasoning the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides to taste.
  • In the slow cooker, place the pork chops in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix over the pork chops evenly.
  • Place the butter on top of the seasoned pork chops.
  • Scatter the pepperoncini peppers around and pour the juice from the jar into the slow cooker.
  • Add the water to help create steam and moisture during cooking.
  • Cover the crock-pot with the lid and set it to low for 6 hours.
  • After 6 hours, check for tenderness. The pork should be easily shredded with a fork.
  • Serve the pork chops with the delicious sauce over rice, mashed potatoes, or alongside vegetables.

Notes

If you prefer a spicier kick, feel free to add more pepperoncini or even some crushed red pepper flakes.
You can adjust the cooking time depending on the thickness of the chops; thicker chops may require additional time.
Leftover pork can be shredded and used for sandwiches or tacos for a tasty second meal.
