Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 32 oz. frozen pierogies potato and cheese flavor preferred
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 lb. garlic sausage ring sliced
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 cup low sodium chicken broth for mixing with cream cheese
  • 8 oz. cream cheese softened
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese shredded, for topping
  • green onions sliced, for garnish

  • Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese and 1 cup chicken broth until smooth.
  • Add sliced garlic sausage to the crockpot and spread evenly.
  • Layer frozen pierogies on top of the sausage.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the pierogies and sausage.
  • Add the remaining 3 cups chicken broth and sprinkle with black pepper.
  • Sprinkle ¾ cup cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours.
  • Before serving, top with sliced green onions and remaining shredded cheddar cheese.

Notes

Top with sour cream or crumbled bacon for an even richer twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
