Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 double boiler or microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 whisk or spatula
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper
  • 1 disposable piping bag or zip-top bag (optional)
  • 1 silicone molds or chocolate molds (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate chips milk, dark, or white
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chopped nuts e.g., almonds, walnuts, or hazelnuts
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup colorful sprinkles
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup dried fruits e.g., raisins, cranberries, or apricots (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper. If using molds, ensure they are clean and dry.
  • In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips over low heat, stirring continuously until smooth. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until melted.
  • Once melted, remove the bowl from heat and stir in the heavy cream until fully combined. The mixture should be smooth and glossy.
  • Add in the vanilla extract, chopped nuts, mini marshmallows, and any optional dried fruits. Fold gently to distribute evenly without breaking the marshmallows too much.
  • Using a disposable piping bag or a spoon, carefully fill the silicone molds or drop spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top before they set.
  • Place the treats in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to allow them to harden.
  • Once set, gently remove the treats from the molds or parchment paper. Store in an airtight container if not serving immediately.
