Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowls
  • 1 electric mixer or whisk
  • 1 rubber spatula
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper
  • 1 cookie cutter (optional)
  • 1 cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies 15.35 oz, double-stuffed for creaminess.
  • 1 package cream cheese 8 oz, softened.
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Easter-themed sprinkles various colors.
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to taste none food coloring optional, for colored chocolate.

Instructions

  • Begin by crushing the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and using a rolling pin.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese until well blended. The mixture should be smooth and moldable.
  • Using a cookie scoop or your hands, shape the Oreo mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
  • While the Oreo balls are chilling, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted. Add vegetable oil to the melted chocolate for a smoother consistency.
  • If desired, divide the melted chocolate into separate bowls and add food coloring to create colorful chocolate for dipping.
  • Dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Return to the parchment-lined baking sheet. Quickly sprinkle with Easter-themed sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.
  • Once all the Oreo balls are dipped and decorated, place them back in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to let the chocolate set.
  • Enjoy your Easter Oreo Cookies fresh or store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes

For a more personalized touch, you can use various cookie cutters to shape the Oreo mixture before dipping.
