  • 5 ounces semi sweet or dark chocolate baking bar good quality
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 0.66 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • whipped cream for topping

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 C).
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate and butter together while stirring.
  • Remove from heat and stir in corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Gradually whisk in the beaten eggs slowly to avoid scrambling.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until set with slight cracking on top.
  • Remove pie from oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Refrigerate until firm, then serve topped with whipped cream.

Notes
