Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk or fork
  • 1 baking dish or skillet
  • 1 meat thermometer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces lamb chops About 1 inch thick.
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary Chopped.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme Chopped.
  • cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Optional.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon juice (if using). Mix well to create a marinade.
  • Add the lamb chops to the bowl and coat them generously with the herb mixture. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes (or longer for more flavor).
  • If using an oven, place the marinated lamb chops in a baking dish. If using a skillet, add them directly to the hot skillet.
  • Cook the lamb chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy; medium-rare should be around 135°F (57°C).
  • Once cooked, remove the lamb chops from heat and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Notes

You can substitute the fresh herbs with dried herbs if necessary; use about one-third of the amount.
