Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease your 9x13-inch baking dish so nothing sticks and cleanup is easier.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon together until well combined.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally but keep them slightly connected. Place the bottom halves into the baking dish.
  • Pour half the egg mixture over the bottom halves, ensuring they soak it in well.
  • Place the top halves back on and pour the remaining egg mixture over them. Dot with sliced butter.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until golden and fully cooked.
  • Serve warm with maple syrup and powdered sugar sprinkled over the top.
  • Optional: Keep oven on low heat to keep rolls warm between batches if preparing ahead.

Notes

Set your oven to its lowest temperature to keep the grilled rolls warm between batches. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently in the oven at 350°F for 8-10 minutes. For freezer storage, wrap individual portions tightly.
