Ingredients
  

  • 2 large onions Approximately 2 cups, chopped.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper To taste.
  • chopped fresh chives or parsley For garnish (optional).

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and allow the onions to cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Fold the cooled onions into the mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of garlic and onion powder according to your taste preferences.
For a lighter version, consider using Greek yogurt in place of sour cream or mayonnaise.
This dip can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
