Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. If desired, fold in dark chocolate chips for extra richness.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, cut into 12 squares and enjoy!
