Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 rolling pin
  • 1 frying pan or skillet
  • 1 brush for applying garlic butter

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter for garlic butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • to taste none fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a frying pan over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and remove from heat. Let it cool slightly.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as per the package instructions.
  • In the center of each triangle, place approximately 2 tablespoons of the cooked beef mixture, topped with some shredded cheese.
  • Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end, pinching the sides to seal the filling inside. Place the rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and stir in the minced garlic. Brush the garlic butter mixture over each rollup.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or ranch dressing.
