Glazed Cinnamon Apple Fritters (Vegan+GF) Pressure Cooker Recipe
These vegan and gluten-free cinnamon apple fritters are made in a pressure cooker and fried to golden perfection, topped with a cozy spiced glaze for a warm and comforting treat.
Mix warm plant milk with yeast in bowl. Let sit 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
Stir in sugar, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder. Gradually add flour until sticky dough forms.
Cover and allow dough to rise in warm place for 1 hour.
Meanwhile, cook apples in a pan with water over medium-high heat until softened. Stir in sugar, salt, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. Cook until liquid evaporates. Cool.
Fold cooled apples into risen dough using spatula or hands.
Divide dough into 15 pieces, flatten slightly, and set on parchment-lined tray.
Heat oil in deep pan to 350°F (180°C).
Fry fritters 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove to paper towel-lined plate.
Whisk together all glaze ingredients until smooth.
Dip fritters in glaze and place on wire rack to set. Serve warm.
