- 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour Plus extra for dusting if needed.
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water About 110°F or 43°C.
- ¼ cup olive oil Or melted butter.
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 large egg At room temperature.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the warm water, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and egg. Whisk until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a rubber spatula until the dough forms. It will be slightly sticky but should hold together.
Dust your hands with a little gluten-free flour and divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rest for 15 minutes to rise slightly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
For added flavor, consider mixing in herbs or garlic powder into the dough.
These rolls are best served warm but can also be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Reheat in the oven or microwave for a few seconds before serving.
