Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • cooked rice for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the broccoli florets, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth until smooth.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring well to combine. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot over cooked rice, if desired.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
This dish can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
