  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • NA NA cooked rice For serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by preparing the ingredients. Wash and cut the broccoli into florets. Mince the garlic and ginger.
  • In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Stir well until the cornstarch is dissolved to create a sauce mixture. Set aside.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring frequently, until it is browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet with the beef. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the meat and vegetables.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
  • Serve hot over cooked rice if desired.

Notes

For a low-carb option, serve the stir-fry on its own without rice.
You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for more color and nutrition.
