- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream Can be replaced with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- to taste salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup frozen peas (optional) Optional ingredient.
Begin by cooking the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
Add the beef broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes to reduce slightly.
Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined. If you're adding peas, mix them in at this point.
Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss gently to coat them with the sauce and beef mixture. Heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot in bowls and enjoy your delicious meal!
Feel free to enhance the dish by adding vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
