  • 1 package Hawaiian Rolls
  • 5 Whole eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups Whole milk or reduced fat if preferred
  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup optional
  • 2 ½ teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup Blueberries fresh or frozen
  • ¾ cup Strawberries fresh or frozen, sliced or diced
  • ¾ cup Raspberries fresh or frozen
  • Powdered sugar optional, for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally without fully separating and place the bottom half in the prepared dish.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, granulated sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract.
  • Pour half of the custard mixture over the bottom layer of bread and allow it to soak in.
  • Scatter half of the mixed berries over the soaked bread layer.
  • Place the top layer of rolls over the berries.
  • Pour remaining custard mixture over the top and lightly press down to soak.
  • Top with remaining berries evenly.
  • Cover the dish with foil and let it rest for 10–15 minutes.
  • Bake covered for 20 minutes, uncover, then bake another 10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle maple syrup if desired.

Notes

Refrigerate overnight for best results. Great reheated or served cold the next day.
