1 baking dish or roasting pan
1 mixing bowl
1 whisk
1 measuring cups and spoons
1 cooking brush
1 aluminum foil (optional)
- 4 fillets salmon about 6 oz each
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro for garnish
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour the honey-pineapple mixture over them, ensuring each fillet is well coated.
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Baste the fillets with the honey-pineapple glaze halfway through cooking.
Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Serve the salmon garnished with chopped fresh cilantro.
You can substitute the pineapple juice with fresh pineapple chunks for a different texture.
Serve this dish alongside steamed rice or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
If you prefer, you can grill the salmon instead of baking it, using the same marinade as a basting sauce.
