  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • 2 Eggs large
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Sour cream
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup Chopped pecans
  • ½ cup Brown sugar for topping mix
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon for topping mix
  • 3 tablespoon Melted butter for topping mix

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and sour cream.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in chopped pecans gently.
  • Mix topping ingredients: brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in small bowl.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized dough onto baking sheets and press centers slightly.
  • Add spoonful of topping mixture into the dip of each cookie.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are golden.
  • Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

Store in airtight container with a piece of bread to retain moisture. Freeze extras in plastic wrap and freezer bags. Separate layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
