Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped Wash and dry thoroughly.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup bell pepper, diced Choose red or yellow.
  • 1 cup salami, diced
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup black olives, sliced
  • ½ cup Italian dressing
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional fresh basil leaves For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Begin by preparing the ingredients. Wash the Romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and bell pepper. Dry the lettuce thoroughly.
  • Chop the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large mixing bowl.
  • Halve the cherry tomatoes and add them to the bowl.
  • Dice the cucumber and bell pepper, then add them to the salad along with the diced salami and cubed mozzarella cheese.
  • Finely chop the red onion and add it to the mixing bowl along with the sliced black olives.
  • Drizzle the Italian dressing over the salad. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Using a salad serving spoon, gently toss all the ingredients until they are well combined and evenly coated with the dressing.
  • If desired, garnish the salad with fresh basil leaves for added flavor and presentation.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your fresh Italian Chopped Salad!

Notes

Feel free to customize this salad by adding other ingredients such as artichoke hearts, peppers, or other types of cheese.
For a vegan option, omit the salami and cheese, and replace the Italian dressing with a vinaigrette.
This salad can be made a few hours in advance, but it's best to add the dressing just before serving to prevent the vegetables from wilting.
