Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets salmon about 6 oz. each
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (½ stick)
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it begins to foam.
  • Add the minced garlic to the butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest, mixing well.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until the salmon is golden brown.
  • Carefully flip the salmon fillets using tongs and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Once cooked, drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the fillets and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

You can add vegetables such as asparagus or broccoli to the pan while cooking the salmon for a complete meal.
For extra flavor, you may consider marinating the salmon in the lemon garlic butter for 30 minutes prior to cooking.
This recipe can also be easily scaled up or down based on the number of servings needed. Adjust the amount of butter and spices accordingly. Enjoy!
