  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips or fruit pieces optional
  • cooking spray or oil for greasing your mold

  • Preheat your cake pop maker or mini muffin tin oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
  • Pour the wet mix into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
  • Optionally, fold in chocolate chips or fruit pieces now.
  • Lightly grease your popper maker or muffin tin with oil or spray.
  • Spoon the batter into each cavity about ¾ full.
  • Cook for 4 to 6 minutes in the cake pop maker or 10 to 12 minutes in the oven.
  • Once golden and cooked, gently remove and cool slightly before serving.
