- 12 slider buns slider buns
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices or any preferred pizza toppings
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs oregano, basil, or a mix
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and grated Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the tops connected. Place the bottom half of the buns in the greased baking dish.
Spread half of the marinara sauce over the bottom buns. Then, layer with half of the mozzarella cheese, followed by pepperoni slices, and the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Top with the other half of the slider buns. Spread the remaining marinara sauce on top, then brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the buns.
Sprinkle the dried Italian herbs over the buttered tops.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
Let sit for a few minutes before slicing into individual sliders. Serve warm.
Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preferences, like adding mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives.
You can make these sliders ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator until you are ready to bake.
Serve with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
