  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 jalapeños sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • Grab a medium saucepan and combine chopped pineapple, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar over medium heat. Stir frequently.
  • Stir in garlic, jalapeños, soy sauce, honey, cumin, smoked paprika, and salt.
  • Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Let the sauce meld slowly as it thickens.
  • Cook uncovered for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Blend with immersion or regular blender for smooth texture as desired, or leave chunky for texture.
  • Store in a sterilized jar in the fridge. Lasts 2 weeks.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks. Freeze in ice cube trays for quick bursts of flavor.
