Equipment

  • 1 Pressure Cooker set to sauté then sealed for pressure

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • ¼ cup green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 can (15 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 can (16 ounce) chili beans drained
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • ½ teaspoon seasoning salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

Instructions

  • Set your pressure cooker on a skillet or sauté mode and toss in the lean ground beef. Let it brown, breaking it up as it cooks.
  • Add the finely diced onion and green bell pepper. Stir around until veggies get tender and mix with the beef nicely.
  • Drain any excess fat that’s sitting at the bottom. You want clean flavors with no greasy heaviness.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce and tomato paste until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Add chili beans and spices. Stir gently.
  • Turn heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes. Stir occasionally, then serve hot.

Notes

Top with cheddar cheese, sour cream, or chopped green onions for extra coziness.
