Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups sourdough bread, cubed About 1 medium-sized loaf.
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste grated Parmesan cheese Optional for serving.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the sourdough bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle the olive oil over the bread cubes, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Add the garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Toss the cubes until all sides are well-seasoned.
  • Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the croutons are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving or storing.

Notes

You can customize the flavor of your croutons by adding herbs and spices of your choice.
Store any leftover croutons in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
