Equipment

  • 1 roasting pan
  • 1 measuring cups
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 basting brush
  • 1 aluminum foil
  • 1 meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 1 piece bone-in, fully cooked ham (8-10 pounds)
  • 1 cup honey
  • ½ cup Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Place the ham on a roasting pan, flat side down.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Using a basting brush, evenly coat the ham with half of the honey glaze mixture.
  • Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil, ensuring that it does not touch the surface of the glaze.
  • Place the roasting pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 1.5 hours.
  • Remove the foil and brush the remaining glaze over the ham. Return to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  • Once done, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
  • For an extra crispy glaze, you can broil the ham for a few minutes at the end, but keep a close eye on it to avoid burning.
