  • 1 Glas Schattenmorellen sour cherries in jar
  • 1 EL Zucker
  • ½ TL Zimt
  • 1 TL Speisestärke to thicken the cherry sauce
  • 250 g Quark
  • 250 g Mascarpone
  • 100 g Sahne whipping cream
  • 3-4 EL Zucker for cream layer
  • etwas gemahlene Vanille vanilla powder
  • 16 Vanillekipferl crumbled cookie layers
  • 100 g Sahne for topping

Zubereitung

  • Pour cherries and juice into a pot. Add sugar and cinnamon. Bring to gentle boil.
  • Mix speisestärke with cold water. Stir into cherry mix until it thickens. Let cool.
  • Whip together Quark, Mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla powder until smooth.
  • Whip 100g Sahne until stiff, then fold into cream mixture.
  • Crumble half the Vanillekipferl into dessert glasses.
  • Add cooled cherry mix over crumbled cookies.
  • Spoon a layer of Quark-Mascarpone cream over cherries.
  • Repeat layer: cookies, cherry mix, cream again.
  • Top with remaining cherry mixture and Vanillekipferl crumbs.
  • Whip remaining 100g Sahne and pipe on top before serving.

Notes

Best served chilled. Can be made ahead and stored in fridge up to 3 days. Tastes even better the next day!
