Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 set measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower About 2 pounds.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated. Arrange the coated florets on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  • While the cauliflower is baking, prepare the Bang Bang sauce by mixing together vegan mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until well combined and heated through, then remove from heat.
  • Once the cauliflower wings are done, remove them from the oven and transfer to a mixing bowl. Pour the Bang Bang sauce over the wings and toss until all are well coated.
  • Serve immediately with extra sauce on the side if desired.

Notes

For a spicier sauce, add more sriracha to taste.
You can also air fry the cauliflower wings for a lighter version if you have an air fryer. Adjust the cooking time accordingly, usually around 15-20 minutes at a similar temperature.
Pair these wings with a fresh salad or some vegan ranch dressing for dipping. Enjoy!
