Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray an 8-inch round cake pan with cooking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, crushed hazelnuts, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt.
In another bowl, beat eggs and melted butter until smooth. Stir in Steviva sweetener, espresso, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture just until combined. Do not overmix.
Pour batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 23–25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove cake from oven and place on cooling rack. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.
Melt chocolate chips using microwave or double boiler. Stir in heavy cream until fully blended and spreadable. Frost cake as desired.
Notes
Wrap leftovers tightly and store at room temp for 2 days, in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
